Executive Chef Daniele Sotgiu

We are proud to announce the much deserved promotion of our Chef De Cuisine Daniele Sotgiu to the position of Executive Chef of Jockey Hollow Bar and Kitchen. A native of the Italian island of Sardinia, Daniele has 18 years of international experience in Michelin-Starred kitchens in Milan and Sardinia, and as Chef de Cuisine of both Eataly in England and Ristorante Ancora in Madrid. In 2016, he moved to Chicago to work with his Uncle at Volare and subsequently as Executive Chef at Michelin-Recommended Benny’s Steak House and Ristorante La Storia. He has also collaborated at the James Beard House with Award-Winning Chef Art Smith. He brings with him an incredibly sophisticated palate, a sense of true dedication to his craft, and leadership skills that inspire and motivate those that work with him in both the Kitchen and the Dining Room.
